Meet your TRC Officers!
President: Brandon Ly
This is Brandon Ly, a fourth year Radio-Television-Film Major, the team’s President!
Brandon, with his brothers, one day randomly decided to try out bouldering and got addicted to the sport. He has been climbing for the past 4 years! He uses climbing as an opportunity to childishly climb on things and not get yelled at for it. He loves the team for the people. Getting into the team helped him adapt to college a ton. He’s an awkward kid, so he’s forever thankful to have a team full of people who are all lovely to be around. He’s barely off of the wall, but when he is, he loves photography, and making short videos. He wants to eventually merge his hobbies together and work for @nationalgeographic one day! He declares that as his ultimate dream job (aside from being a pro climber). He doesn't have many passions outside of climbing, so he tries to make the most out of what he loves. |
Vice President: June Kim
What is that bright shining light ahead? The image is clearing. Why it is June Kim, a third year Chemical Engineering Major, getting ready to be our team's Vice President!
June got into climbing after a friend dragged her to a local climbing gym, and ever since she couldn't keep herself away! She's been climbing for over 2 years now and has achieved goals of hers like doing an unassisted pull up and crushing some pretty sick climbs. She loves the team for its ability to attract a variety of unique personalities. The encouraging spirit and stoke makes it feel like a second home for her! Outside of climbing, June keeps up with many hobbies like listening to and discovering obscure music, baking, playing video games, and watching documentaries. She's always happy to discuss topics from underground Japanese hip-hop and the Great British Bake Off all the way to her Korok collection in Breath of the Wild! |
Treasurer: Rahul Mathilakath
Need to keep track of some money? Need every cent counted? Have no fear, Business Major Rahul Mathilakath, our Treasurer, is here! He got into climbing 2 years ago when his high school friends were like “you should do it,” and then he said, “okay.” Look at him now! A whole treasurer of our team! He loves the team for its culture and competitiveness. Everyone pushing each other to get stronger and be the best they can be is his favorite part. His favourite leisurely activities are fishing and watching football. He especially loves the Browns. Such a chillaxer relaxer so cool, all playing football outside of school! |
Secretary: Ryan Oh
When it comes to taking notes and staying organized, we have the best! Ryan Oh, a third year Government/ Philosophy Double Major and our Secretary, makes sure everything we do stays in order!
Ryan got into climbing over 3 years ago when a friend would not stop asking him to climb until he said yes. It looks like he made the right choice because now he truly loves it! You can find Ryan doing 3-4 hour climbing sessions whenever he has time! He loves the team for the stoke and encouragement that is seen at any practice. When he's not climbing, Ryan loves basically every sport (especially volleyball and basketball), video games (Valorant), chess, and anime! |
Event Coordinator: Ben Selle
Our Event Coordinator, Ben Selle, is the fourth year Aerospace Engineering Major that's going to plan parties that are out of this world!
Ben got into climbing 4 years ago when some friends made him go and he immediately loved it! He loves the team for the awesome people and the immaculate vibe. When he's not climbing, you can find Ben mountain biking, camping, and hanging out with his friends. Where ben goes, the vibe follows! |
Public Relations: Adrian Velasquez
Adrian Velasquez, a third year Electrical and Computer Engineering Major, makes sure everyone knows about our club as our Public Relations Officer!
Adrian started climbing over three years ago when a gym finally opened in his city! He immediately fell in love. His favorite part of climbing in a gym is the constant new routes, that means there is always something to do! He loves the team because he loves being around a group of people that are all passionate about the same thing. Outside of climbing he loves mountain biking, video games, and hanging out with friends. |
